California Start-Up StackCharge to Build 40-Stall Charging Hub on I-15 Corridor - Drive Tesla

A new charging solutions company will soon be making it’s debut with a fast-charging hub along the Interstate 15 corridor in California.

New renders published by StackCharge show an electric vehicle rest stop coming soon to the small roadside town of Baker, California. The company’s first location will be opening next year at 56383 Mojave Pointe Rd, just off I-15 between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. 11kW EV Charging Station

The plans call for the installation of 32 Tesla Superchargers (composed of 8 pre-assembled units with 4 charge posts each), as well as 8 pull-through generic fast charging stalls for non-Tesla vehicles.

Taking advantage of the California desert sun, there will be solar canopies above all charging stations.

There will be a 2,500 square foot restaurant space which will include a pick up counter as well as a drive-thru window that will be open 24 hours a day. There will be seating on the inside and a covered patio outside the building.

If the on-site restaurant is not to your taste, the Stack Charge hub is located within walking distance of several other food options including Burger King, Arby’s, Carl’s Jr. and more.

Baker is currently home to a 40-stall Supercharger at the Dairy Queen. In November of 2021, Tesla filed plans to expand the station by another 56 stalls. Once the new Stack Charge location opens, there will be a total of 128 Supercharger stalls within a half-mile radius.
